RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent will have responsibility for Product Development for Life Insurance products. This position is responsible for identifying product and service needs; conducting competitive analysis; developing new products and/or enhancing the features of existing products; and working closely with operations, technology, training and sales management involved in supporting and /or promoting Life products.

Essential Functions:
· Create and support strategy in line with business objectives through the delivery of Life products and services
· Work collaboratively/cross functionally with risk, finance, legal, NPI, and operations in the development and delivery of product and services
· Develop and obtain approval for go to market value proposition. Owner of new product introduction process
· Implement a process control management system to ensure delivery of products to customer specifications
· Develop and implement Genworth Product Development organization
· Provide leadership, motivation and direction to fulfill customer acquisition and sales goals
· Provide the highest level of internal and external customer service

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Proven track record for the development of product and services and successful rollout and implementation
· Proven ability to achieve business results and drive strategy
· BS/BA degree required; advanced degree preferred or equivalent work experience
· 10+ years Insurance and/or Financial Services experience
· Strong and effective communication skills
· Ability to lead and manage in a rapidly changing and cross-functional matrix environment
· Experience leading/managing and empowering others
· Process orientation with continuous improvement methodology
· Proficient PC Skills
