NY financial services firm is seeking a Sr. Controller to manage multi-billion dollar client relationship and manage direction and supervision of Controllers and Staff Accountants
• Develop, enhance, and implement the strategies, procedures, process work flows, and infrastructure of Fund Accounting functions
• Manage, lead, and recruit Fund Controllers and staff members to build enhanced capabilities
• Generate and deliver accurate daily NAV calculations, month end final NAV, and year end financial statements
• Interact with Auditors to ensure that the year end client deliverables (financial stmt, audit work) are met in a timely and efficient manner
• Actively work with multiple departments to drive results and deliverables
• Mentor and develop staff capabilities and support cross-training and process improvement initiatives
• Prepare and deliver presentations and analysis
• Ensure that the IT applications supporting Fund Accounting work effectively and efficiently
• Support new product review analysis with clients and internal colleagues
• Design and implement procedural improvements to enhance Fund Accounting and client services
• Actively engage in and manage special analytical projects for senior management

Must have 7+ years related background and experience in:
• Product Knowledge
• Hedge Fund or Fund Administrator
• Book Allocation
• Master Feeder
• Financial Statements
• GL System
• Deferral/Partnership Accounting
• Tax Accounting

Compensation for this senior position is $150,000-$250,000 commensurate with experience.

HRG is also working on positions for lesser experienced Controllers with 5-7 years related background. Compensation range will be $80,000-$150,000 DOE.
